This is an 8 week course open to all levels taught by experienced ceramic artist Paisley Hanson. Explore the endless possibilities of clay in this course. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to expand your skills, this course offers a welcoming and creative space to learn and grow. This class covers essential hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques, including pinch, coil, slab work, and wheel throwing. You’ll learn how to create a variety of functional and decorative pieces. Students will also explore glazing techniques, learning how to apply Cone 6 glazes to bring their pieces to life. Each participant will receive Cone 6 clay, and all firing and materials are included in the course. To support your learning, you’ll have access to Open Studio hours on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 AM to 1 PM, providing extra time to practice independently.
