This is a 8 week ceramic course for children ages 9-13. This class offers young artists the opportunity to explore their creativity while experiencing everything clay. You will learn the whole process of making an item from start to finish. This includes techniques like wedging, coil, pinch, slab, as well as wheel work. You will have the opportunity to create nonfunctional and functional items while using both handbuilding and wheel techniques. You will learn basic glazing using both underglazes and glaze. No experience is necessary, all skill levels welcome. Students may repeat this class as the projects are ever-evolving! Teens 16 and older are encouraged to sign up for adult classes.
