This Open Studio clay art class for homeschoolers ages 7-13, teaches the fundamentals of working with the medium of clay to create both functional and sculptural works of art.
BIG KIDS CLAY SPRING 2026
WITH HEATHER / FOR KIDS AGES 9-13
This kids clay class offers young artists ages the opportunity to explore their creativity while experiencing the messy fun of clay. Students will learn the whole process of making both sculptural and functional work from start to finish. This includes techniques like wedging, coil, pinch, slab, as well as occasional wheel work!
HANDBUILDING SPRING 2026 / THURSDAY EVENING
WITH NIKKI / FOR ADULTS + TEENS 14+
Are you curious about handbuilding with clay? In this 8-week pottery course, you will focus on refining and expanding your skills in coiling, pinching, and slab construction techniques. You will learn how to create simple and complex forms, experiment with different textures and patterns, and develop your own unique style. It’s preferred for students to come with projects and ideas, but the teacher will meet each student where they are at.

Elevate your garden with your own handmade plant markers, windchimes, and bud vases for all your spring flowers. We’ll spend the first two classes building and refining our pieces with the third class dedicated to decorating with underglaze and glaze to make your creations pop!

Deep sea dwellers, gnarly gnomes, curious critters, and legendary beasts are all welcome during Heather Zee’s Creature Feature. Heather invites young makers ages 9 to 13 to spend a week dreaming up and building their own weird and wonderful creations.
MAKE A CLAY LAMP WORKSHOP

During this workshop, you’ll design your own unique lamp and go over the best building method tailored to your design. We will cover various surface design elements such as carving, adding texture or 3D elements using slip, and more.
FAIRY DWELLINGS CAMP 2026

Jump into a magical world of whimsy and creativity with Amy! Young artists ages 5-8, will explore concepts of fairy houses! Using clay, found objects, and elements from nature, students will explore texture and imprint techniques.They will draw, paint and use mixed media to create secret places, creatures, and their very own clay fairy houses.
OUT OF THIS WORLD: SPACECRAFT CAMP 2026

Blast off into a week of creative space exploration during Heather’s Out of This World Spacecraft Camp. Young artists ages 9 to 13 will build 3D alien landscapes packed with wild terrain and imaginative space creatures.
MEDIEVAL MUGS WORKSHOP

Make your own custom mug perfect for any faire in town. We will build large mugs using pinchpits, slabs or coils then create details using sgraffito, stamps, press molds and glaze to give it a completely unique twist.

Through drawing, painting, collage, and clay, let's explore how we can recreate our memorable foods, utensils, and vessels for eating too! We will share, in discussion and play, why we love these foods so much and collectively create our “clay cookbook” to finish off the week.
